An Important Update on Our Programs and Direction
Sine Calibration School is evolving.
As our training ecosystem has grown, we’ve made the deliberate decision to expand beyond a single curriculum update and instead introduce a new, separate professional development program under Sine Calibration and Metrology Training (SC/MT). This shift reflects a significant expansion in scope, depth, and structure—far beyond what was originally planned under our earlier 3.0 update announcement.
Two Programs, Two Clear Purposes
To ensure continuity, clarity, and contractual stability, we are intentionally operating two parallel tracks:
Sine Calibration School (Existing Curriculum)
The current curriculum will remain fully available and supported for:
Existing customers
Institutional partners
Contracted programs
No changes will be forced on current users.
This ensures that all existing agreements, schedules, and training pathways remain intact.
Sine Calibration and Metrology Training (SC/MT) – New Program
SC/MT is a new and distinct professional development program, not a revision of the existing curriculum.
It has been designed from the ground up to integrate directly with:
Train the Trainer (Available Now!)
Instructor development (In BETA currently, but is planned to be released publicly in 2026)
Role-based and lab-specific training pathways
This program reflects a broader and more structured framework than originally envisioned, including:
Process & Production (P&P) content
Lab-level progression
A dedicated “Level 1.5” bridge to introduce deeper metrology concepts earlier
Earlier and more intentional exposure to measurement uncertainty
Most TrainingMAX partnered labs will receive this new program automatically!
Why the Change?
During development, it became clear that simply “upgrading” the existing curriculum would limit what we were building. Industry needs—and our own quality standards—called for a more comprehensive professional development system that supports not just technicians, but trainers, instructors, and organizations as a whole.
Rather than rush or dilute that vision, we chose to:
Preserve the existing curriculum for current users
Launch SC/MT as a new program with its own structure, goals, and learning pathways
About Curriculum Development and Quality
SC/MT content is developed under our updated internal development standards and undergoes structured review before release. While production is complete for many components, quality verification and peer review remain critical final steps. This ensures the material meets the level of rigor expected by working professionals in calibration and metrology.
Looking Ahead
Sine Calibration and Metrology Training is focused on practical, role-aligned professional development for today’s calibration industry. Any future accreditation-related initiatives will continue to be developed thoughtfully and separately, without impacting current learners or partners.
We are committed to transparency, continuity, and delivering training that genuinely supports technicians, trainers, and labs—wherever they are in their development journey.
If you have questions about which program is right for you or your organization, we’re always happy to help.
Why Choose Sine?
Sine Calibration and metrology training – Upskill in Calibration and Boost Your Professional Growth
The calibration industry faces a growing demand for skilled technicians. Traditional routes, such as military PMEL programs, aren’t producing enough specialists, and most college curricula overlook this niche. Sine Calibration and Metrology Training (SC/MT) addresses this need by offering structured, industry-informed online courses that reinforce foundational knowledge and practical skills.
For Individuals: Build or deepen your calibration expertise with flexible, online learning—perfect for complementing on-the-job training.
For Laboratories: Streamline staff development with a reliable training platform that supports consistent quality and simplifies onboarding.
(Note: Our courses are designed for professional development and do not confer an accredited degree or license. Hands-on experience or employer-led training is typically required for full competency.)
Digital Badges & Certification - Earn Industry-Recognized Credentials
Paper certificates are yesterday’s news. Our digital badges verify your training and skills at a click, making it easy for employers and clients to confirm your qualifications. Plus, once you’ve mastered our core curriculum, you can pursue the Sine Certified Evaluations—an independent certification proving you don’t just know the theory, you can apply it.
The SC/MT Completion Badge: Demonstrates completion of Level 1 foundational training.
Sine Certified Evaluations: An industry-changing certification process, with multiple planned levels. Level 1 testing is available now.
